Eaton Names Richard B. Jacobs Filtration Division General Manager

CLEVELAND … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today that Richard B. Jacobs has been named general manager for the company’s Fluid Power Group's Filtration Division, effective immediately, reporting to Craig Arnold, senior vice president and president – Fluid Power Group. Most recently, Jacobs served as Eaton’s vice president – Supply Chain Management.

Jacobs, who will be located at the Filtration Division’s headquarters in Iselin, N.J., will be responsible for the division’s operations in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Belgium and China, as well as its worldwide sales offices.

"His extensive operational, supply chain and general management experience have prepared him well for this role. Jacobs joined Eaton in 2004 as vice president – Supply Chain Management for the Fluid Power Group. Prior to joining Eaton, he was vice president and general manager of the wheel end business, information technology function and Six Sigma program for Bendix CVS, a former division of Honeywell/Allied Signal. He had also served as a corporate director in Honeywell's supply chain function. Earlier in his career, Jacobs spent eight years with General Electric. Jacobs holds a master's degree in industrial management and a bachelor's degree in mechanical and industrial engineering from Clarkson College in Potsdam, N.Y. Jacobs is Six Sigma certified from both Bendix and the Six Sigma Institute.
