First known as MD-CC products, Eaton medium duty closed circuit piston pumps and motors have been in production since the 1960s. Together, the pump and motor are generally referred to as a hydrostatic trans-mission, or HST. They are best suited for applications requiring mid-range power (< 85 HP engines) and system pressures (< 380 Bar/5500 PSI). An HST can provide continuous rotary motion at a remote location from the power source, which meets the unique and demanding requirements of off-highway vehicles. Eaton’s Medium Duty Piston motors are available in 3 fixed  (741XX, 743XX, 746XX) displacement and 2 variable (713XX, 72450) displacement models.
