Randy W. Carson

Randy W. Carson is chief executive officer of the Electrical Group of Eaton Corporation, a global diversified industrial manufacturer. 

Carson also serves as a member of the corporation’s Office of the Chief Operating Officer. In that capacity, he has responsibility for corporate marketing and corporate research and development.

Carson assumed his current position in January 2000, leading the company’s Electrical Group, now an $8 billion organization with global capabilities in power distribution and control and power quality. The group has been built through aggressive organic growth and significant acquisitions.
 
Before joining Eaton in February 1999, Carson had a 26-year career with Rockwell Corporation, having responsibility for many of that company’s automation businesses.

Currently, he serves on the board of directors for Southwire Company and the Allegheny Conference and is a cabinet member of the United Way of Allegheny County. He is a past chairman of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association.
 
Carson received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Valparaiso University.
