As the cornerstone of innovation and new product development, this rotational program focuses on developing Eaton’s technical leadership talent pipeline.
The Engineering and Technology Leadership Program (ETLP) targets individuals completing an MS in Engineering Management or an Engineering specialty (e.g. Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical, Reliability, Software or Systems), and who have 3+ years of applicable work experience. The goal of the ETLP is to develop Eaton’s future technology leaders by providing them with a wide variety of projects and training.
Objective:
To develop Eaton’s future technology leaders by providing them with a wide variety of projects and training. ETLP will prepare participants for future functional and/or technological leadership positions by offering value added rotational assignments in which candidates will have the opportunity to gain engineering design and development experience with Eaton’s new products and technologies.
Candidate Profile:
Masters in Engineering Management or an MS in Engineering with a focus in Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical, Reliability, Software or Systems engineering. Candidates will have engineering management and/or technology leadership aspirations, as well as a passion for innovation and disruptive technologies. Candidates must possess outstanding academic credentials, 3 years of applicable work experience, strong analytical skills, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Authorized to work on an ongoing basis without Visa sponsorship in the country for which they are hired to work for Eaton
Rotation Structure:
Two one-year roles in different business divisions, technology areas (e.g. electronics, systems, software, materials and reliability), and geographic locations. Experiences will be focused on new products and cross business innovations within the four business groups and the corporate innovation center.
Sample Assignments:
Assignments are engineering roles driven by real business objectives and may focus on Systems, Service, Application, or Software in one of Eaton’s Engineering Development and Design Centers.
Sample Post-Program Position:
Graduates of the program should be ready for key engineering roles, ranging from product design and engineering to program management.
Leadership Exposure:
Participants will have a high level of interaction with Eaton’s key Innovation and Technology leaders. Participants will be expected to formally present a project update to Eaton’s Engineering Leadership at least once a year and will receive multiple opportunities for networking and formal training. Training needs will focus on both technical and leadership competencies.
