Global Leadership
Objective:
The objective of the GLDP is to provide challenging cross-functional, cross-business group assignments that will help develop future Eaton senior leaders.
Candidate Profile:
To be considered for the GLDP, candidates must have an MBA with at least 5 years of work experience. An engineering or technical undergraduate degree is preferred. All candidates must be authorized to work on an ongoing basis without Visa sponsorship in the United States.
Rotation Structure:
Participants complete two 1 year assignments while in the program. However, depending on the nature of the assignment, some assignments may be one and a half years in length.
Sample In-Program Assignments:
While in the program, participants hold a wide variety of key positions including the following: Global Sourcing Project Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Business Development Analyst, Integration Manager, Marketing Manager, Supply Chain Analyst, Business Improvement Manager and Strategic Pricing Manager
Sample Post-Program Positions:
Program alumni have progressed to positions such as Supply Chain Director, Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Customer Support Manager, International Sales Manager, Business Development Director and General Manager.
Leadership Exposure:
While in the GLDP, participants are able to work and interact with senior leaders on an ongoing basis. Some participants report directly to Directors, Vice Presidents or General Managers. Others have the opportunity for interaction by working on projects with senior leaders, presenting work to senior leaders or by being involved with key meetings. The GLDP also has an active executive advisory board comprised of senior Eaton Vice Presidents who are involved in the direction of the program. The advisory board participates in the GLDP conferences, held twice a year.
