Airflex magnetic clutches and brakes are stationary field, multiple-disc units controlled by electromagnetic force. The units can be furnished with disc packs for either wet or dry operation.  Operation in oil is recommended where high speeds, high cyclic rates and heavy loads are encountered and where wear must be minimized.
