One of the requirements of the UK Building Regulations Part L2 is for much more detailed metering of electrical loads within a building

Eaton offers a range of solutions to enable electrical contractors and specifiers to meet these requirements easily, effectively and economically using factory-built products rather than costly custom-built panelboard and distribution board assemblies.

The energy metering requirements of Building Regulations Part L2 apply to any new, non-domestic premises with a floor area greater than 500 square meters – this will apply to most new commercial premises. The purpose is to achieve more detailed measurement of energy use so that operators can understand the patterns of use in their buildings better and so save energy

Latest metering products are the answer

Eaton’s latest metering products include meter packs which are mounted alongside, or below, distribution boards and panelboards to provide local metering of lighting, small power and other loads supplied through those boards. In addition, some popular distribution board configurations are available factory-assembled with integral meters.
