A current limiting fuse is a fuse that, when its current responsive element is melted by a current within the fuse’s specified current limiting range, abruptly introduces a high resistance to reduce current magnitude and duration, resulting in subsequent current interruption.

	Current Limiting Helix Fuses Eaton’s Helix fuses (CLE, HLE and HCL) are general purpose fuses suitable for indoor and outdoor use. They provide high- and low-level fault protection. Typical uses include transformers, power centers, load interrupters, feeders, and unit substations.
	MV Current Limiting CLS Fuses Eaton’s CLS current limiting backup fuses are intended for indoor use. They are typically used in conjunction with high voltage motor starters to provide short circuit protection for individual motors.
	MV Current Limiting CLPT Fuses Eaton’s CLPT and NCLPT general purpose fuses are intended for indoor use and are applied wherever it is necessary to limit the short-circuit currents on high capacity systems. They are typically used in conjunction with potential and control power transformers.
	MV Current Limiting CLT Fuses Eaton’s CLT fuses are designed specifically to provide fault protection on high capacity indoor and underground distribution systems. Other uses include pad-mounted transformer drawout wells or in conjuction with LBOR oil switches as a means of low cost transformer protection.
	MV Current Limiting CX Fuses Eaton's CX general purpose current limiting fuses are designed to provide complete fault protection on high capacity indoor and underground distribution systems.
