Amine Recirculating Processes generally require media with retention's of 10-25 microns. For the elevated temperatures and pressures experienced in these systems, 10-25 micron single-layer woven wire, 316 stainless steel screens are usually recommended.

Amine Filtration generally occurs on the lean side of the gas treating process. Filtering on the rich side has been avoided because changing out disposable media exposes operators to the hazardous gasses. The ClearAmine filter maintains itself with no operator interface minimizing exposure, disposal, and inventory. Filtering on the Rich side of the process helps to protect the heat exchangers pumps, and the contacting tower. Rich Side Filtration improves the cleanliness of the equipment reduces foaming in the contactor/absorber. Our ClearAmine System is an ideal solution for Rich Amine Filtration because of its automated external backwash design. It backwashes automatically with clean water without sending amines to the drain with the backwash. A clean recirculating system reduces corrosion, protects heat exchangers from plugging, reduces regenerator cleaning, and protects valves and instruments while minimizing foaming.

For gas processors who require an dry, low sulfur gas stream, a ClearAmine provides a low-foaming filtration solution. If disposal issues are a concern, a backwashing ClearAmine filter is recommended. Slotted wedge wire, wire mesh, and Polypropylene or Dacron fabric media are available for this challenge.
