Eaton New Employee Orientation
During your first 45-60 days, Eaton has an orientation program to get you started in your new role as an Eaton employee. The following are some of the components of the orientation program.
Welcome Session
During this presenter-led session, a local Human Resources representative will provide you with a high-level overview of Eaton:
- Our vision, mission and goals
- The five business groups that make up Eaton, and the markets each group serves
- The importance the company places on ethical business conduct, and
- An overview of our company's integrated operating philosophy known as the Eaton Business System
Orientation Website
Accessed through Eaton's intranet, to which you will have access on your first day, the orientation website will lead you through the required steps of the orientation program, provide you with additional information and links, and put you in contact with your key support people.
E-Learning Courses
Many of the steps on the orientation path are self-paced, e-learning courses that are accessed through Eaton University.
Local Orientation
In addition to the general company-wide orientation all new employees receive when they join Eaton, each work site offers a local orientation program with location-specific news and information. Check with your local Human Resources representative for details.
