ELECTRIC FIRE PUMP CONTROLLERS
The LMR Plus Series of Electric Fire Pump Controllers are an enhanced version of the original microprocessor-based, LMR Series. Programming remains straightforward due to the retention of the core firmware and similar menu structure present in previous models.
FD20 Limited Service
The FD20 Limited Service Controller can be used for motors 30HP or less, driving special fire service pumps where acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction.
FD30 Across-the-Line
The FD30 LMR Plus Controllers are full service, across-the-line full voltage controllers. The FD30 uses a method of starting where full voltage is applied to the motor by the use of a single motor contactor. The FD30 can be programmed for either fully automatic or semiautomatic operation.
FD40 Part Winding
The FD40 LMR Plus Controllers are full service, part winding reduced voltage controllers. The FD40 is the most economical method of reduced voltage starting, however, requires a special motor wound for part winding starting.
FD50 Primary Resistor
The FD50 LMR Plus Controllers are full service, primary resistor reduced voltage controllers. The FD50 is selected when it is necessary to meet limitations on inrush current. A resistor is inserted in the power supply to the motor for a smooth acceleration.
FD60 Autotransformer
The FD60 LMR Plus Controllers are full service, autotransformer reduced voltage controllers. The FD60 utilizes an auto-transformer that is inserted in the power supply to the motor to reduce the voltage at the motor terminals and to provide a smooth acceleration.
FD70 Wye Delta (Star-Delta) Open
The FD70 LMR Plus Controllers are full service, wye delta (star-delta) open reduced voltage controllers. The FD70 uses a method of connecting the pump motor windings into wye configuration to start, then switching to a delta configuration to run. This reduces the starting current of the motor significantly.
FD80 Wye Delta (Star-Delta) Closed
The FD80 LMR Plus Controllers are full service, wye delta (star-delta) closed reduced voltage controllers. The FD80 uses a method of connecting the pump motor windings into wye configuration to start, then switching to a delta configuration to run. This reduces the starting current of the motor significantly.
FD90 Soft Start
The FD90 LMR Plus Controllers are full service, soft start reduced voltage controllers. The FD90 incorporates a solid-state starter which provides a step-less, smooth current ramp to the motor. This characteristic eliminates current surges and mechanical torque transients.
