This course is designed to give a basic understanding of the operation and service of Fuller AutoShift® and UltraShift® transmissions. This includes all automated transmissions. This course follows the same format and has similar content as the level 3 training, but is scaled down to meet the targeted time frame.

During the classroom portion, technicians will be exposed to theory of operation, service and troubleshooting with a brief introduction to the use of electronic diagnostic tools like ServiceRanger and other commonly available diagnostic tools. This course will increase the technicians understanding of electronic controls and PC-based diagnostics while helping them become familiar with servicing Fuller automated transmissions.

Level 1 Transmission General Maintenance Training and Level 1 Automated Transmission Training is recommended as a pre-requisite to this class as general maintenance practices and component identification will only briefly be discussed during this class.

Upon completion of the classroom presentations, the class will continue into a practical session incorporating hands-on application of diagnostic, troubleshooting, and service procedures using the correct tools and techniques. Each technician will be asked to participate individually or in teams in the practical application portion of the course.
