Ensure Proper Repair After a Front-end Collision

When your vehicle is in a front-end collision it’s important the truck is repaired properly before going back into service. Front-end collisions normally take out the hood, radiator and the transmission oil cooler (in most cases the transmission oil cooler is part of the truck’s radiator).  A common mistake made when repairing front-end collisions is to overlook the transmission oil level.  The correct repair procedure is start the truck, run approximately 2 minutes, check the transmission oil level and re-fill to the proper level. If you fail to follow this process, the transmission oil level will normally be about 1 gallon low. The end result is an “overheat” condition and non-warrantable low-lube failure (with your truck back in the shop).

TMIB-0129 Update

Roadranger is streamlining our Eaton warranty return address names to provide shippers (dealers/fleets/customers) and freight carriers with definitive address names for ‘ship to’ billing locations.  The Standardization of the name combined (Eaton Warranty) with the Eaton Freight Logistics Number (EFLN) of 2050W or 02508 must be used when shipping to Eaton Warranty.  These address names will assist in preventing the shipper being charged for the freight that should be charged to Eaton warranty.  The new EFLN #’s will also assist our logistic operations to properly align the freight expense to the proper financial ledgers.  Details of the proper shipping names along with Roadranger Warranty Returns Instructions are available on Roadranger.com under bulletin number TMIB0129.
