Eaton and Volvo engineers teamed together to create catapult release fork and hydraulic release system that works exceptionally well with a Solo Advantage clutch.
If you replace the self-adjusting clutch with a mechanically adjusted clutch, you're potentially setting yourself up for failure.
When a manual adjusted clutch is used with a hydraulic release system, the driver cannot detect the need for clutch adjustment due to incorrect release bearing position. This can result in damage to the clutch and the hydraulic release system components. Plus, not properly maintaining clutch adjustment can affect the performance and life of the clutch.
That's why you should only use the Solo Advantage Self-adjusting clutch as a replacement.
