Ulusoy oil-immersed transformer

Eaton Ulusoy oil-immersed type transformers are manufactured and tested in accordance with the IEC 60076 standard and can be further customised upon request. The standard power range is 25 kVA to 5 MVA with a maximum voltage level of 36 kV. Requests greater than 5 MVA will be evaluated on a project basis.

Pressure relief valves are a preferred circuit element in hermetic designs. They are mounted on the cover and protect the transformer tank in case of sudden pressure increase. If the tank is exposed to the internal pressure to which the valve is set, the valve opens and allows the oil to drain, which compensates for the pressure and prevents the body from rupturing. Contact use is optional.
Hermetic protection relays are used in hermetic transformers. The relay shows the gas discharge, oil temperature and internal pressure in the body. These relays are generally used in transformers larger than 500 kVA. There are two contacts on the relay for each of the following: gas discharge, boiler pressure and oil temperature. They provide alarm and trip warnings according to set limit values.
Wheels that are strong enough to bear the transformer weight are available in various diameters and shipped with the transformer as per customer request.
High-voltage cable boxes are mechanical enclosures that protect a transformer’s high-voltage bushing connections from the environment. They can be designed in accordance with various IP classes as per customer request.
Low-voltage cable boxes are mechanical enclosures that protect a transformer’s low-voltage bushing connections from the environment. They can be designed in accordance with various IP classes as per customer request.
Contact oil temperature thermometers indicate the maximum temperature reached by the oil in a transformer and can be reset at the push of a button. The thermometer operates via a contact and can measure oil temperatures of up to 120 °C. The electrical value of micro switches can be set to 5 A, 250 V AC or 0.2 A, 250 V DC. If a transformer’s oil temperature needs to be measured without using a contact, a dial type thermometer can be used instead.
Buchholz relays are connected via pipes between the transformer tank and the oil expansion tank. They are used to monitor gas and oil movements in the transformer. They provide warnings in case of failures that cause small gas accumulations, sudden oil fluctuations and oil leaks within a transformer.
Magnetic oil level indicators allow the oil level in the oil expansion tank to be monitored. The oil level is displayed via a magnetically coupled float to indicate when the transformer oil requires changing. Contact oil level indicators can be used in line with customer requests.
Dehumidifiers are connected to the oil expansion tank to trap moisture in the air that passes through it when the oil volume changes, preventing moisture from entering the oil. The size of the dehumidifier depends on the amount of oil.
