The EU REACH Regulation (1907/2006/EC) addresses the safe use of chemicals placed on the market and their potential impact on both the environment and downstream users. As a manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment, we support this approach and are committed to meeting our responsibility with regard to the chemicals concerned, as well as the safe use of chemicals in our products placed on the market.
We are fully committed to meeting all regulatory requirements that apply to our products and we carefully monitor new and upcoming legislation that could affect us and our products. In addition, we have taken steps to implement these product requirements in a timely manner.
We have established processes to identify whether substances of very high concern (SVHC) are contained in our electrical or electronic products, and we are actively working with our suppliers concerning this matter, consistent with our commitment to our customers. In accordance with EU REACH Regulation (EC1907/2006), we register the chemical substances used in our electrical or electronic products with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), which maintains a list of SVHC (the “Candidate List”).
As you may appreciate, our efforts in identifying SVHC in our electrical and electronic products are ongoing, as our suppliers respond to our verification queries with more relevant and complete information.
Our electrical and electronic products may contain the following SVHCs above 0.1 mass per cent per weight of article.
