Eaton EMEA names 20 regional winners in the 2020 Stover Awards

October 13, 2020

MORGES, Switzerland … Power management company Eaton announced EMEA’s 20 regional winners in the 2020 Stover Awards, which recognize employees who have made outstanding contributions to the local community. Sanaa, indirect material buyer, Power Quality & Electronics Division, Eaton, was chosen as the EMEA winner, amongst seven other global winners.

Sanaa was selected on the basis of her extraordinary work with Association Citoyenne for Solidarity and Development (ACSD), which brings essential human services to underprivileged communities in rural areas—including healthcare, education, and clothing distribution. Sanna’s devoted volunteer activities included hosting children’s evenings and personal development workshops for young people.

EMEA recognizes four divisional winners chosen for their unwavering commitment to their local communities:

  • Kelvin: As Chairman of Blackwood Town FC in the UK, Kelvin provides a positive environment for children through grassroots football. Alongside coaching and fundraising, he has grown the club to 250 children.
  • Margit: For 39 years, Margit has been a tireless supporter of the Patersberg Fire Brigade in Germany—organizing events, working as treasurer, and even becoming a volunteer member.
  • Dagmar: Championing a center for abandoned, homeless, and abused children in the Czech Republic, Dagmar helps organize fundraising, charity collections, and volunteer teams to visit children.
  • Kathleen: Alongside successfully leading her division’s Community Involvement Team for six years, Kathleen also runs a local youth group doing fantastic charitable work, as well as a chapter of The Pioneer Clubs.

As well as those mentioned above, Eaton is also delighted to recognize 15 EMEA site winners for their fantastic contributions to the community.

“We’re tremendously proud of our 2020 Stover Award winners, all of whom have gone above and beyond to support their communities across EMEA,” comments Tim Darkes, president, Corporate and Electrical Sector EMEA. “From civic projects, to healthcare and human services, we’re thrilled to see our people striving to make a meaningful and sustainable impact on quality of life by donating their time, energy and skills. Each of our winners proves that we can all make a difference and drive positive change in the world around us.”

Eaton made charitable contributions of $8.5 million in 2019, has been named one of the “100 Best Corporate Citizens” for 12 consecutive years by CR Magazine, and now has active community engagement teams in 82% of its global sites.
