Circuit breakers

xPole PFIM Type F residual current circuit breaker

Eaton offers a complete range of compact residual current devices for fault current/residual current and additional protection, suitable for residential and small commercial use. Type F is a special variant of type A with altered frequency characteristics. The Type F RCD complies with IEC/EN 62423 and provides safe and reliable protection against sinusoidal residual currents and pulsating DC fault currents. It is also capable of handling residual currents with mixed frequencies of up to 1 kHz (10, 50, 1000 Hz) as defined with the IEC/EN 62423
Design according to
IEC/EN 62423
current withstand capability
3 kA
DC residual currents
up to 10 mA

Core features

  • Residual Current Devices
  • Tripping is line voltage-independent. Consequently, the RCD is suitable for “fault current/residual current protection” and “additional protection” within the the meaning of the applicable installation rules
  • Mains connection at either side
  • The 4-pole device can also be used for 2- or 3-pole connection.
  • Shape compatible with and suitable for standard busbar connection to other devices of the P-series
  • Twin-purpose terminal (lift/open-mouthed) above and below
  • Busbar positioning optionally above or below
  • Free terminal space despite installed busbar
  • Universal tripping signal switch, also suitable for PLS., PKN., Z-A. Can be mounted subsequently
  • Contact position indicator red - green
  • Delayed types suitable for being used with standard fluorescent tubes with or without electronical ballast (30mA-RCD: 30 units per phase conductor).
  • Type -F: Increased protection in applications with 1phase frequency converter due to the detection of mixed frequencies

Reliable protection for machines

These products help maintain an optimal system and provide additional protection against residual earth leakage currents for a wide range of applications. They come with different tripping characteristics to cater for a variety of electrical systems and components. The devices offer a wide range of nominal currents and comprehensive optional accessories.

Type of protection

Since tripping does not depend on the mains voltage, this RCD is suitable for “fault current/residual current protection” as well as “additional protection” within the meaning of the applicable standards.

Enhanced application protection

Increased protection in applications with 1-phase frequency converters thanks to the detection of mixed frequencies and a higher load capacity for smooth DC fault currents up to 10 mA.
