Supporting STEM education

Eaton has been dedicated to contributing hands-on learning experience in STEM Education. We have also been conducting volunteers’ initiative ‘Science Saturdays’ to make science education engaging and interesting for school students. In this program Eaton employees conducts supplementary science classes and activity sessions every Saturday, related to the concepts taught in regular class that week. The practical sessions, using activity kits, are aimed at building clarity on science concepts and learn by doing.    

Since 2017, Eaton has been working in association with Pondicherry Science Development for the upkeep and maintenance of science exhibits in Pondicherry. Under this program, Eaton revamped and launched the mobile scientific bus recently, that aims to help school children in and around Puducherry to explore the basic scientific exhibits at their school premises. 

With a vision to inculcate Scientific Literacy & Scientific Temperament in children, Eaton in association with Life-Lab, has developed 114 Science DIY activity modules, lesson plans and videos that Science teachers can use in classrooms to create joyful learning environments. These Modules have been adopted by the Department of Education, Delhi Government; with a total outreach to 4.5 lakh children, across 1035 schools. Coupled, this collaboration has resulted in the development of Innovative Pedagogical approaches - like 300 Science Toon Posters to deepen conceptual understanding in a logical deduction format and 3 Science-Based Graphic Novels (with a cumulative outreach of 78,000 children in Govt Schools, Rural & Urban areas, across 6 states in India, in the last 3 years).
