Make software installations seamless with Eaton's Software Professional Services. Tiered service levels include a range of offerings, such as dedicated deployment, configuration and trainings for Eaton Intelligent Power Manager (IPM), Visual Power Manager (VPM) and Eaton Visual Capacity Optimization Manager (VCOM), to make the most of your investment and align to your strategic goals. 

Three tiers of software professional services

With Software Professional Services, Eaton offers three levels of service options tailored for you to get the most out of your software investment: Remote-start, Quick-start and Full-start.  

Remote-start

With Remote-start, the Eaton experts will install and configure the platform for you and provide up to two hours of high-end training remotely. Eaton will then turn the keys over to you to continue to add your additional devices, locations, racks, and data on day one.

Quick-start

The most popular option, Quick-start will dedicate a Professional Services Engineer (PSE) to facilitate installation, configuration, in-depth testing and user training. Quick-start service can be completed remotely or up to three days on-site so you can learn the tools you need to successfully monitor and manage your infrastructure. 

Full-start

Don’t lift a finger with Full-start: let Eaton's PSEs handle installation, configuration and onboarding directly on-site with you and your team. This enterprise-level service for infrastructure monitoring and management includes device discovery, data ingestion, rack building and location layouts to be completely onboarded. 

Our process

Eaton Software Professional Services is rooted in a firm belief that regular communication with customers on deployment activities will result in a successful installation. All projects and deployments are planned and managed by an experienced project team.
  1. Project initiation
    Initial meetings with detailed SOWs, contracts and kickoff meetings. 
  2. Architecture
    Formal definition of network, servers and storage required.
  3. Installation
    Servers, storage, OS and application installation with delivery as a virtual appliance or standalone application installation.
  4. Device and data implementation
    Power and IT device placement, rack building, port mapping and more.
  5. Monitoring configuration
    SNMP, Modbus, Bacnet, IPMI and alarm thresholds set.
  6. Third party integrations
    API calls, database integrations and IP cameras.
  7. Functional testing
    Confirm data collection, audit assets, test notifications.
  8. Production launch
    Customer acceptance and provision customer accounts.
  9. Training
    Administrator and/or end user training sessions.
  10. Transition to Eaton support
    Project closure and instructions on support mechanism.
