Surge protection devices

Innovative Technology Protector+ series

Eaton’s Innovative Technology® (I.T.) Protector+ series side‑mounted surge protective devices (SPDs) deliver the latest advancements in UL® 1449 5th Edition certified surge protection. Engineered for maximum safety and reliability, the Protector+ series safeguards equipment at main service entrances and critical load points with industry‑leading performance. Available in all common voltages and configurations, these SPDs offer surge current capacity ratings from 100 kA to 800 kA, along with three feature package options. The Protector+ series provides the ideal solution for virtually any electrical application, including service entrances, switchgear, motor control centers, distribution equipment, panelboards and point‑of‑use protection.

Feature package options

The Protector+ Series provides users with the option of selecting between three feature packages: basic, standard with surge counter, and Power Xpert SPD. The proper feature package can be selected based on the application’s requirements or specifications.

Thermally protected MOVs bring more safety and less weight

Don’t risk potentially unsafe conditions or smoke damage from traditional MOVs. Eaton uses thermally protected MOVs as their surge suppression component, which disconnect automatically when subjected to abnormal conditions.
