PITTSBURGH, PA - Power management company Eaton today announced its latest innovation in industrial and hazardous lighting, Crouse-Hinds series CEAG ExLin linear LEDs, certified for Zone 1 and 2 hazardous area environments. The explosion-protected LED fixture provides industrial customers with highly reliable, energy-efficient lighting that can yield substantive cost savings compared to traditional fluorescent fixtures.

“With a broad portfolio of solutions for harsh and hazardous environments, Eaton is applying deep expertise to help customers modernize their facilities and support uninterrupted operations and enhanced productivity,” said Andrew Agan, director of IEC marketing at Eaton. “With our new CEAG ExLin LED linear fixtures, industrial customers can improve upon the overall cost, energy efficiency and maintenance required of lighting systems.”

Part of Eaton’s expansive solutions for harsh and hazardous areas, the ExLin fixtures are compliant with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and European Union (IECEx and ATEX) standards for equipment used in explosive environments. Eaton’s ExLin LED linear fixtures are designed to replace 2x18 watt (W), 2x36W and 2x58W hazardous area fluorescent fixtures. The ExLin is low-profile, lightweight and has an operating temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius (ºC) to 55ºC.  Additionally, Eaton’s custom optics improve light distribution to provide light where needed with the potential to reduce the number of fixtures required.
