Vertical to Horizontal conversion vacuum replacement circuit breakers

With Eaton's VHC-Series+ medium voltage conversion, GE Magne-BlastTM vertical lift circuit breakers are converted to horizontal draw-out. This reversible conversion involves no cutting or drilling of the original cell structure and does not violate the original metal-clad integrity.

Fully tested to C37.59 and C37.09 for k=1 and k>1 ratings, the converted vacuum circuit breakers significantly reduce scheduled maintenance and require no lubrication or adjustments for 10 years or 10,000 operations.

Vertical structure primary contact repair

Eaton offers a process to repair and prevent cracks from leaking pitch-like material in older vertical cell primary contacts. Depending on service conditions and maintenance, this extends the useful life of GE Magne-Blast cell structure primary conductors for up to 30 years.

Remote power racking system (RPR-2)

Eaton’s RPR-2, enables remote racking of circuit breakers from leading manufacturers that can be inserted or removed using the rotation of a shaft. Operators may remain 25 feet or more away from the switchgear door during the racking process, which is outside of the arc flash protection boundary.
