Eaton´s modern UPSs protect virtualised IT applications from all types of power disturbances. When paired with Eaton´s virtualisation-ready Intelligent Power Manager (IPM) software they can be easily monitored and managed from leading virtualisation dashboards. IPM software helps suspend non-critical virtual machines, consolidate critical virtual machines and shut down unused servers to extend battery runtime in case of power alarms from UPSs. It also allows to automate disaster avoidance with a planned migration application, such as VMware Site Recovery Manager and Microsoft Live Migration; as well as gracefully shut down virtual machines in case of prolonged outages.
The new graphical LCD display provides clear information on he UPS’s status and measurements on a single screen (in seven languages). Enhanced configuration capabilities are alsoavailable with easy-to-use navigation keys.

Eaton 5PX UPS allows you to increase the runtime by adding up to four external hot-swappable battery modules, able to run systems for hours if necessary. The additional battery modules are automatically recognised by the UPS.
