Xiria

Xiria is Eaton’s SF6-free medium voltage switchgear product family for ring station and secondary switchgear applications.

The highly compact switchgear panels are used to control and protect electrical equipment operated by utilities, commercial building owners, and operators of distributed renewable generation assets such as solar farms and wind turbines. Xiria is especially valued because it requires minimal inspection and maintenance leading to low operation costs.

Xiria Metering Solutions

Xiria Metering Solutions offers flexibility. The open metering panel combines flawlessly with Xiria Block and Xiria Extendable Type panels while the highly compact solution integrates all measurement transformers in the cable compartment of a regular Xiria panel. This benefits small floor spaces.

SF₆-free switchgear

Using vacuum technology instead of SF₆ not only makes Xiria the best for the environment, but also minimizes maintenance, enhances operational safety, greatly increases the number of safe switching operations, and eliminates costly end-of-life disposal procedures. Compact switchgear with high flexibility

Xiria offers a high level of operational safety and is suitable for applications up to 24 kV. The Xiria product family is designed around Eaton’s proven vacuum interrupters, which require no maintenance and are certified for 30,000 operation cycles. All live parts in the available panels are single pole insulated. The used materials are shaped specifically to provide optimum insulation combined with excellent thermal characteristics. In addition, the insulation is configured to provide effective control over electric fields around the used components, thereby minimizing any risk of internal arcing. Within Xiria both the primary parts and the mechanisms are contained in a fully enclosed housing which protects the whole system against environmental influences.
