Eaton's SIMAS solution is an Ethernet based automation, emergency stop and voice communication system including WiFi for implementing ambitious control processes in modern and productive mines. We can fulfil all exploision protection requirements for underground mines: when combined with SIL 3 certified equipment, we are able to realize projects up to SIL 3.

SIMAS is the first, fully integrated and IP based, voice, data, WiFi, interlock and automation system.

Addressable voice communication

The SIMAS network structure and the associated high data transfer rate of 100 Mbit/s, SIMAS is designed for the future. It meets all requirements for automation processes of e.g. longwall faces, conveyor systems, pump stations, mobile machines, etc.

With this new structure the system allows addressable voice communication WiFi and automation in one system.

VoIP

Digitally transmitted language is achieved without loss in the entire SIMAS system.

High-quality communication is guaranteed at every call station, even in complex systems. In addition, there is the capability of issuing customer-specific messages via MP3 files.
