The xEffect multi-layer copper band - CU-BAND for short - is an insulated laminated busbar that meets the highest technical standards. With its advanced and proven technology, CU-BAND sets a new benchmark in the area of flexible busbars.

CU-BAND is made up of several layered copper lamellas durably protected by a special high-grade PVC insulation. The loose arrangement of the lamellas in the insulation allows for easy bending and twisting, and the fine lamination gives CU-BAND its outstanding flexibility. The xEffect multi-layer copper band is the ideal solution for all electrical connections in control cabinets and low-voltage switchgear systems.

Saves space

CU-BAND is unusually flexible and can even be folded. In addition, the resistance of the conductor cross-section is far lower than that of any cable and therefore allows for a smaller bending radius, which saves time and enables you to work more effectively.

Flexibility

Due to the high level of flexibility of CU-BAND, the number of contact points is far lower than with conventional solid busbar systems. Moreover, the flexible design compensates for construction tolerances during installation, which means additional bending is no longer necessary, as would be the case with solid busbars. CU-BAND thus greatly reduces the time required for installation.

Less material required

The smaller conductor cross-section of CU-BAND compared to cables with the same ampacity reduces the amount of material required. The simple and efficient design thus saves you time and money.

Reliability

CU-BAND enhances the safety of your systems and installations: In addition to eliminating the need for cable lugs, CU-BAND also comes with reinforced edges, high heat resistance, certified dielectric strength and well-balanced insulation. Choose CU-BAND for maximum reliability!

Everything in its place

The special CU-BAND production process allows for the use of different insulation colors. You can choose from a range of standard colors (green/yellow, blue or black), enabling you to color-code different connections inside the switchgear and other systems. This not only makes it easier for you to keep an overview of your connections but also provides for greater safety. CU-BAND ensures that everything is in plain sight.
