xEffect Combined RCD/MCB Device FRBm4 , 3+N-pole

This residual current operated circuit breaker with integrated overcurrent protection is a high-quality residual current circuit breaker and miniature circuit breaker combination with line voltage-independent tripping and a wide variety of rated tripping currents.

The FRBm4 in 3+N-pole configuration is available as AC and A type. Both types are impulse current resistant up to 250 A. These combined RCD/MCB switches are available with rated currents from 20 to 32 A and in tripping characteristic B, C or D. Their switching capacity is 4.5 kA.

IEC Standard quality design

The RCBO line adheres to the IEC standard of VDE 0664-20 and 21 – an IEC region as well as European standard for RCDs with integrated overcurrent protection (RCBOs). This applies to both the line voltage-independent and line voltage-dependent RCDs/MCBs with rated currents up to 125 A for fixed installations. All requirements of IEC/EN 61009 are 100 % fulfilled by Eaton's RCBO line. All required standards are printed on the devices.

Suitable RCD/MCB types for all contingencies

When selecting the "correct" RCD/MCB types for individual device-, lighting- and socket circuits, the following must be observed:

  • Type A: Protects against special forms of residual pulsating DC which have not been smoothed.
  • Type AC: This type only reliably detects AC fault currents.

Line- and residual current protection

Eaton's high quality standard guarantee comprehensive personal- and equipment protection by combining the functionalities of a residual current circuit breaker with those of a miniature circuit breaker. This means our customers spend less time and effort wiring while still protecting the system against overload, short circuit and residual current. Using Eaton's line of RCBOs, your electrical system will increase in safety and reliability.
