Eaton's energy saving technologies

Eaton’s Energy Saver System (ESS) improves efficiency levels to 99 per cent. It does this by suspending the power modules when power conditioning is not required and by enabling the inverters to start switching within just 2 milliseconds, when needed. ESS is the most advanced, proven and reliable energy-saving system on the market with many years of usage and a wide install base. When compared to extremely high double-conversion efficiency, the ESS mode can still reduce the losses by 75 per cent with a typical UPS load.

Load testing can be costly and time-consuming – but not with the Eaton UPS Easy Capacity Test (ECT) feature, which recirculates energy from the UPS for testing. There's no need to rent costly load banks, and no time or energy wasted on temporary load connections. And best of all, it can be done concurrently in a parallel installation without the need to go onto bypass.
