  • Residual current devices suitable for standard busbar connection to other xEffect devices
  • Type -G: Highly reliable against unwanted tripping, compulsory for circuits where personal injury or damage to property may occu
  • Type-S: Selective AC-sensitive RCD, compulsory for systems with downstream surge arresters
  • Type-U: Suitable for speed-controlled drives with frequency converters
  • Twin-purpose terminal (lift/open-mouthed)
  • Universal tripping signal (red-green) switch, for FAZ, FRBmM-1N, auxiliary switch Z-HK can be mounted subsequently
  • Delayed types suitable for standard fluorescent tubes with/without electronical ballast
  • Tripping is line voltage-independent, suitable for “fault current/residual current protection” and “additional protection”
  • 4-pole device can also be used for 2- or 3-pole connection
  • Special type with 110 V
  • Type -A, , -G/A, -S/A: Protects against special forms ofnon-smoothed residual pulsating DC
  • Type-R: avoid unwanted tripping due to X-ray devices.

These products help maintain an optimal system and provide additional protection against residual earth leakage currents for a wide range of applications. They come with different tripping characteristics to cater for a variety of electrical systems and components. The devices offer a wide range of nominal currents and comprehensive optional accessories.

Type A

Protection against special forms of residual pulsating DC currents that have not been smoothed.

Type U

Suitable for use with variable speed drives in household, commercial and industrial applications. This tripping characteristic has been specifically designed for use with frequency converters to prevent nuisance tripping.

Type R

Prevents nuisance tripping due to X-ray devices.

Maximum safety in railway applications

The xEffect range of protective switchgear also ensures highest standards of safety in railway applications. Thanks to compliance with specific standards such as IEC 61373 (Rolling stock equipment – Shock and vibration) and EN 45545-2 (fire protection of railway vehicles), the devices provide maximum safety and performance in rolling stock applications. In addition to standard switchgear, we also offer a wide range of MCBs and RCDs for the connection of ring cable lugs in railway applications.
