Eaton surface mount positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor elements are designed for temperature protection on printed circuit boards and integrated circuits. The use of a rapid change in resistance can accurately detect overheating in multiple areas. Given their standard 0603 and 0805 EIA footprints, they are ideal for automated assembly processes.
