It is always important to stay abreast of the latest standards and legislation which can sometimes be challenging to interpret and understand their application. However, as professionals we must ensure that truly compliant systems are being selected, specified and installed, particularly in buildings of higher risk. Such standards and legislation guide us to select new technologies that help address business goals and objectives, including protecting assets and people. SF6 Update - European Commission review of F-Gas Regulations

Overview: We'll discuss the outcome of the European Commission F-Gas Regulatory review taking place in July, what it means at a European and country level and next steps for manufacturers and operators of equipment.

In July 2020, the European Commission will review its F-Gas Regulation by reconsidering the extent of the original 2006 legislation and deciding whether now is the right time to expand the prohibition on SF6 in industrial uses, including its application in medium voltage (MV) switchgear.
