It is always important to stay abreast of the latest standards and legislation which can sometimes be challenging to interpret and understand their application. However, as professionals we must ensure that truly compliant systems are being selected, specified and installed, particularly in buildings of higher risk. Such standards and legislation guide us to select new technologies that help address business goals and objectives, including protecting assets and people.
