Circuit breakers

xPole PFIM Type F residual current circuit breaker

Eaton offers a complete range of compact residual current devices for fault current/residual current and additional protection, in residential and small commercial applications. Type F circuit breakers are a special variant of type A devices with modified frequency characteristics. This Type F RCDs complies with IEC/EN 62423 and provides safe and reliable protection against sinusoidal residual currents and pulsating DC fault currents. It can also handle residual currents with mixed frequencies of up to 1 kHz (10, 50, 1,000 Hz) as per IEC/EN 62423.

Design according to
IEC/EN 62423
current withstand capability
3 kA
DC residual currents
up to 10 mA

Core features

  • Reduction of nuisance tripping thanks to time delay
  • Comprehensive range of accessories
  • Increased protection in applications with 1-phase frequency converters thanks to the detection of mixed frequencies
  • Contact position indicator red-green
  • Can be positioned at the top or bottom of the busbar, the installation position does not affect the functioning
  • Twin-purpose terminal (lift/open-mouthed) with mains connection on either side and free terminal space despite installed busbar
  • Z-A universal tripping signal switch and Z-HK auxiliary switch can be retrofitted

Reliable protection for machines

These products help maintain an optimal system and provide additional protection against residual earth leakage currents for a wide range of applications. They come with different tripping characteristics to cater for a variety of electrical systems and components. The devices offer a wide range of nominal currents and comprehensive optional accessories.

Type of protection

Since tripping does not depend on the mains voltage, this RCD is suitable for “fault current/residual current protection” as well as “additional protection” within the meaning of the applicable standards.

Enhanced application protection

Increased protection in applications with 1-phase frequency converters thanks to the detection of mixed frequencies and a higher load capacity for smooth DC fault currents up to 10 mA.
