Medium and large supercapacitor cells

Medium and large supercapacitors are a type of electrochemical energy storage that can store and release electrical energy quickly. They are offered in different sizes or capacitance ranges. Medium supercapacitors typically have capacitance values in the range of a few hundred Farads (F). These devices are capable of storing moderate amounts of energy and can deliver high power outputs. Applications include automotive, renewable energy and industrial applications. Large supercapacitors have capacitance values of several thousand Farads. They can store considerable amounts of energy and are used in applications that require high power and/or long-term energy storage, such as public transportation, grid energy storage, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment. They complement batteries and other energy storage technologies, finding applications in various industries where rapid energy storage and release are required.

Automotive
Medium supercapacitors can be used in hybrid or electric vehicles for regenerative braking, where they capture and store the energy generated during braking and release it when needed, resulting in improved fuel efficiency and extended battery life.
Renewable Energy
Supercapacitors can be combined with solar panels or wind turbines to store energy during peak production periods and release it during periods of low production or high demand, providing smoother and more reliable power delivery.
Industrial
They can be used as backup power sources for critical industrial systems, such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), where they provide short-term power during sudden power outages, allowing time for safe shutdown or transition to an alternative power source.
