XC200 modular programmable logic controllers

Our new-generation XC200 modular PLCs offer a flexible solution to standard automation tasks. The different versions of the device ensure the right control solution is available for the specific requirements at hand. As part of the XControl family, the XC200 belongs to the middle tier of the three expansion levels in Eaton’s high-performance PLC portfolio. The local I/O level of the XC-204 devices can be expanded with up to 16 I/O modules from the slice-based modular XN300 system. Separate Ethernet interfaces and additional standard serial interfaces enable operation in various system architectures as well as the integration of remote I/O units (XN300) and third-party devices.

The right interfaces for your needs

With full expansion, the XC200 PLC versions have two 100 Mbit/s Ethernet interfaces with individual network adapters that enable segmented machine architecture to be designed. This makes it easier to integrate devices in existing machine and system networks. Security and performance aspects can also be fine-tuned. Communicative field devices and remote XN300 I/O stations can also be easily integrated via Ethernet, CAN or RS485 interfaces.

Visualisation in HTML5 standard

The XC-204 controllers feature an integrated web server that makes remote visualisation easy on mobile devices such as PCs, tablets and smartphones. This ensures that you always have an overview of the status of your equipment and can flexibly control functions from almost anywhere.

Perfectly expanded

Compact system solutions can be easily implemented in combination with the XN300 I/O range. Fitting the XC-204 modular PLC with up to 16 I/O slices on the DIN rail can be achieved without any tools, while the push-in plug connector means that the connection level can be pre-assembled. This is all down to a clever housing and mounting design.

XControl system

Benefit from the systems approach of the new-generation XControl system! The XC-104, -204 and -303 modular PLCs, which are fitted with versatile interfaces, can be ideally expanded with the XN300 I/O system and the corresponding CAN and EtherCAT gateways to form a system solution for small to medium-sized applications. Furthermore, the installation, wiring and programming of this modern system saves time and is incredibly simple.

XControl software solutions

CODESYS 3 is used to programme the control and visualisation functions of the XC100 product series. Programs that have already been created can be imported quickly and easily using a USB stick.

XN300-Assist will support you with commissioning and installing the devices. Operating the software tool is convenient and saves time. The tool can be downloaded free of charge.
