Sensors and limit switches

E55 NEMA limit switch nonmetallic inductive proximity sensors

Built sensor tough

Eaton's E55 limit switch-style nonmetallic inductive sensors are long-range devices designed for direct drop-in replacement of mechanical limit switches. The unique sensing head is factory assembled for top-sensing use, but it can easily be converted in the field to any one of four side-sensing positions. These switches also feature robust PBT housings for high resistance to wash down and corrosive chemicals.

Core features of E55 NEMA limit switch nonmetallic inductive proximity sensors

  • Nonmetallic housing offers excellent resistance to corrosion
  • Same form factor and mounting as standard limit switches for easy retrofit
  • Sensor head features five sensing positions (top and all four sides) that can be easily changed in the field
  • Long sensing ranges up to 40 mm
