NOVA NX-STS single-tank triple-single recloser

Eaton’s NOVA NX-STS recloser, for applications benefiting from both single- and three-phase operation, is the newest addition to the NOVA NX family - incorporating key features first introduced with the NOVA NX-T recloser. The NOVA NX-STS recloser is repackaged in a compact single tank design with a single control cable that eliminates the need for a junction box - resulting in less pole clutter, and overall a simpler and quicker installation.

Single tank recloser design

Eaton’s Cooper Power series NOVA NX-STS recloser single tank design provides all benefits of the triple-single recloser without the need for three individual tanks. This eliminates the need for a separate junction box, additional cable connections, and reduces pole clutter. A lighter, compact recloser for a triple-single application.

Simplifies connection to overhead lines

Unique to Eaton’s Cooper Power series NOVA NX-STS recloser, additional phase rotations (45, 90, 180 degrees) are available to address challenging conductor layouts between the recloser terminals and overhead power lines.

Site-ready design benefits

Eaton’s Cooper Power series NOVA NX-STS recloser can be fully assembled prior to shipping. A variety of site-ready options are available which includes pre-mounting and pre-wiring of arresters, PTs and load-side voltage sensors. This eliminates the need for on-site assembly which saves expense, installation and commissioning time.

NOVA NX recloser family addition

Eaton’s Cooper Power series NOVA NX-STS recloser has the same great benefits as the NOVA NX-T recloser including six integrated resistive voltage sensors and MIL-SPEC twist-lock connectors. Also, relocated actuator electronics to the control enclosure, site-ready designs, large highly reflective open/close indicators, and substation frame options are core features of the NX family.
