Keep your process running with our unique xEnergy Elite contact system

Thanks to the xEnergy Elite patented silver-plated contact system, you do not have to worry about stopping your process. You can easily swap or upgrade the removable units, without disrupting or isolating the entire system.

Patented unique contact system that enhances your performance and safety

Unlike other systems, our contacts ensure a reliable and efficient electrical connection that gets stronger as the currents increase during operation. Plus, our innovative design protects your operations from any short circuit damage by eliminating the stress on the contacts and busbar, ensuring the safety and continuity of your operations.

Ultimate safety during maintenance

  • With the xEnergy Elite drawers, you can perform three functions in one: disconnect, test and connect. No need to open the doors and risk your safety or compromise the protection level of up to IP54. The innovative contact system allows you to seamlessly switch between the functions with ease and confidence.
  • You can safely put the xEnergy Elite units back into the “live” panel without cabling them, for optimum safety of personnel.

Unique micro drawers

Thanks to Eaton’s xElite micro drawers, you can optimize your switchgear space. These innovative drawers come in half and quarter length sizes, giving you more flexibility and efficiency.

How does xEnergy Elite switchgear achieve passive arc fault protection?

xEnergy Elite meets the stringent IEC TR 61641 standard, criteria 1 to 7, arcing class C. It is meticulously designed to prevent the development of internal arc fault during normal operating conditions. It achieves this by incorporating arc ignition protected and arc tested areas within the switchgear.

Arc flash containment

The switchgear has smart features that limit any internal arc to the affected unit's compartment, protecting adjacent compartments and nearby personnel. The vertical busbar in the withdrawable units is fully insulated and separated. It is an 'arc ignition protected zone' as per IEC TR 61641, making it virtually maintenance-free. These features give xEnergy Elite switchgear a high level of passive arc fault protection, improving the performance and safety of the power distribution system.

Active arc flash protection

xEnergy Elite offers active arc flash protection devices for the highest safety and optimum process integrity.
