How to License PTM Protection

Step 1

Download the License Request (.LicReq) file from PTM Software

Licenses are PC specific. Be sure to download the LicReq file from the PC you want to license.

From the PTM software interface, select Application Settings > License.

Select the Request License button next to the feature that you would like to license.

Step 2

Save the generated (.LicReq) file to your computer

Step 3

Order your license file with Eaton

Place your order with Eaton sales representative, indicating the type of license needed, and furnish the .LicReq file at the same time.

Step 4

Receive your license

You will receive your License (.License) files as an email attachment from Eaton. (Save or archive this email in the event a reinstall is needed.)

Save these to your PC.

Step 5

Install your license

Click on Install License and select the License (.License) file you received in Step 4. If the license was installed correctly, a checkmark will appear next to the license.

A gray check mark means that a limited number of sessions have been added.
A green check mark means that unlimited use of the feature has been granted on your computer

The number of remaining sessions will be displayed on the license screen.
