Eaton's Grid Edge Solution

These powerful automation platforms are ideal for Eaton’s Grid Edge Solution. Integrated in the grid automation nodes, they seamlessly work with multiple Eaton’s centralized applications and SCADA systems to provide situational awareness and improve reliability with rapid decision-making locally, at the grid edge, removing the burden on centralized systems while still sending relevant data to those systems.

Supporting the evolution of automation products

The SMP Distribution automation platforms reduce engineering efforts through a comprehensive set of field-proven tools, including protocol analysis and detailed logs. The unique commissioning tool forces individual points, performs local control operations, keeps track of tested points in a spreadsheet and prints comprehensive test reports. With their robust and scalable design, the SMP Distribution automation platforms provide a flexible solution that adapts to your evolving automation requirements.
Specifications

Models

The SMP Distribution automation platforms are available in different models and configurations.  The SMP DA-3050 family includes four (4) models and the SMP 4/DP includes a single model.

The SMP DA-3050 family

The SMP Distribution automation platform family includes the Linux-based SMP DA-3050 automation platform, a robust, powerful, and extremely flexible platform that is available in four (4) models.

All models share all software capabilities and security features, limited only by the factory installed I/O configurations, providing reduced learning time and a simplified migration path between models.  New protocols and features will be added in future releases.

The SMP DA-3050 automation platform is a new product. It does not support all described features yet.  We will include the missing features (*) in the foreseeable future.
