Eaton’s Power Xpert Meter 3000 (PXM3000) offers comprehensive world-class power and energy measurement and monitoring that reduce day-to-day operating costs and help avoid costly business interruptions. Meters can be used in various applications, including energy management, monitoring circuit loading, and identifying power quality problems.
The PXM3000 is a revenue grade power and energy meter that delivers a cost-effective solution for energy and sub-metering applications.
The PXM3000 energy meter enables you to reduce and control your demand for energy by making consumption more predictable, helping to minimize downtime and increase maintenance efficiency.
By meeting ANSI C12.20, and IEC 62053-22 metering accuracies at 0.2%, the PXM3000 provides accurate data by sample cycling in 128 intervals, enabling you to manage utility costs more effectively and efficiently through Eaton’s own intuitive web interface.
Eaton provides customers a new level of accessibility to the critical information required to manage your electrical distribution system.
The PXM3000 meter uses an embedded Web server that includes real-time circuit information in both numeric and graphical visual formats to help monitor circuit parameters, such as current loading, voltage and power levels, and power factor.
The embedded web server allows users to see demand comparisons, trends, record waveforms, and harmonics directly in the Web browser or LCD meter graphic display.
The PXM3000 meter is a cloud-enabled meter that supports new energy code sub-metering requirements, by featuring Ethernet and cloud-connected functionalities.
This meter is designed to store 4GB worth of data and up to three years of historical trends in the cloud, helping to meet energy code requirements
The Power Xpert Meter 3000 embedded Web server offers Eaton customers accessibility to the critical information required to manage their electrical distribution system. The web server includes realtime information in both numeric and graphical visual formats to help monitor parameters such as current loading, voltage and power levels, power factor, THD, and more.
Take a look at some examples of reports delivered through the PXM 3000 embedded web server.
Power Xpert Meter 3000’s embedded web server Overview screen allows a quick view of critical electrical parameters. These parameters are placed on a chart that allows customers to easily identify real time, as well as the mean with +/- 3 standard deviation values. They also can see the events log and demand.
Demand usage patterns can be analyzed with the month-to-month, week-to-week, day-to-day comparison chart built into the meter. Raw data can be exported as a .csv file with the “download” option to other applications for further analysis and graphing.
The web server offers a waveform view to visualize disturbances such as voltage sags that can cause costly business interruptions. In addition the PXM 3000 has a harmonic spectral plot that displays harmonics up to the 63rd order. Individual harmonics and THD are displayed for diagnostic purposes.
The Power Xpert Meter 3000 embedded web server supports graphical trend charts of key circuit measurements such as current, voltage, power and energy. The trend chart supports a zoom feature that allows the user to view data over a short period of 16 hours or a longer period of 48 months. The trend chart has a horizontal slider bar control to manage scrolling forward and backward through the data. Trend charts of basic readings include minimum, maximum, and average readings. Trend charts of energy data also display demand values.
