Changing application setting P21.1.2 in PowerXL DG1 drives

In this video you will learn how to change the application setting, P21.1.2, on Eaton's PowerXL DG1 variable frequency drive.

Welcome to this short tutorial on changing the Eaton PowerXL DG1 software application sets or the software macros.

Step 1: So, we're going to start in our main menus. You know you're in the main menus, up here in the right corner you can see the TPM that designates you're in the main menu sets. We want to push the down arrow until you get to the parameters main menu and then enter that with a right arrow.

Step 2: Please notice, now you know you're in the parameters menus up here in the right corner you see the PAR designation. We want to go up to the P21 systems menu and enter into that. We also want to go into the P21.1 basic settings of the system sub-menu and we want the P21.1.2 application parameter. So, we're going to go down with a down arrow and then choose that with an okay.

Step 3: Once we're in the application parameter, we can make it changeable with a right arrow. So either the text or the value that's in a parameter, once that's a blinking, then it can be changed. And we're going to do that with a down arrow. We're going to go through all the options in this particular case. We have the choice of standard multi-purpose, multi-PID, or multi-pump.

For this particular demonstration, we're going to change the application or the software macro to multi-purpose. You do that simply when it's blinking, you select it with an okay and the drive will reboot. Once it reboots, it will be in the multipurpose default settings. Please ignore this fault. It's just an artifact of the demo case.
