xComfort KLV

xComfort KLV is a flush and hollow-wall mounted compact distribution enclosure for residential and small commercial applications. In addition to an extensive range of 1- to 5-row energy distribution cabinets designed and approved according to IEC/EN 62208 and IEC/EN 60670-24, the series also includes multimedia and hybrid enclosures. In combination with Eaton's established range of modular switching and protection devices and our innovative online configurator, the system offers the perfect solution for energy distribution according to IEC/EN 61439-3 for both new builds and renovation projects.

Pre-wired final distribution boards - the choice is yours!

Select the right devices for your residential and light commercial project from a variety of standardized components and empty enclosures. Eaton provides you with all the technical information you need to create the design verification according to IEC/EN 61439-3 yourself. Alternatively, you can also choose a pre-wired final distribution board. In this case, Eaton will provide you with a documentation package including a detailed design verification. Focus on the essentials and let Eaton take care of the rest.

Standards are our strength

Eaton's KLV empty enclosure meets the requirements of the IEC/EN 60670-24 and IEC/EN 62208 standards and is therefore approved for use in low-voltage assemblies according to IEC/EN 61439-3.

The xComfort KLV series and our switching and protection devices are based on a modular design so that you can assemble any combination you need. In addition to a number of standard pre-wired distribution boards, Eaton also supplies customized configurations on request. Energy distribution board

The latest generation of our successful KLV series now offers even more flexibility. We have expanded the series by adding a new 5-row, flush-mounted and hollow-wall energy distribution board with up to 60 modules (with 10 MU as an additional reserve), which are also equipped with expandable KSK combination plug-in terminals as standard. In addition, the new devices feature 30 % more wiring space on the side and a significantly larger number of terminal strips for optimized cable entry, as well as the new N terminal block with plug-in technology for mounting laterally inside a wall box or on a DIN rail. The updated range now also comes with the option of APW surface mounting. Thanks to the certification as a compact distribution board according to IEC/EN 60670-24 (PD) and IEC/EN 62208, the 5-row KLV energy distribution board is the ideal choice for both small and large projects.

Multimedia distribution board

The xComfort KLV series has now been expanded to include a 5-row multimedia distribution board that is also available with WiFi doors. Thanks to this specially designed door, the enclosure provides a better wireless connection compared to standard metal doors. The multimedia distribution board meets the requirements of both the IEC/EN 60670-24 standard for general purposes enclosures and the IEC/EN 62208 standard.

Hybrid distribution board

Equipped with similar advantages as the KLV energy and multimedia distribution boards, the hybrid enclosure combines the functions of both in one product. It is available in 24 or 36 MU versions for switching and protection devices and each enclosure contains a separate functional unit with a micro-perforated mounting plate for multimedia devices. The hybrid distribution box meets the requirements of both the IEC/EN 60670-24 standard for pre-determined enclosures and the IEC/EN 62208 standard.

Project delivery options

We also offer the xComfort KLV series as 4PR project delivery packages, consisting of a single-stage and a two-stage package. While the single-stage package includes the standard configuration including the wall box, the two-stage package optionally includes the standard doors/door frames with WiFi insert and ventilation system.
