Eaton rack-mount UPS comparison

Eaton offers a full suite of rack-mount UPS products for business-class battery back-up for network cabinets, IT server racks, mission-critical applications and high-density computing environments with power ratings ranging from 550 VA to 60 kW. Eaton rack-mount models are available from 1U rack-mount to 21U rack-mount UPSs, with an option to expand your capacity with Eaton’s scalable UPS models.

Eaton 5P

The Eaton 5P UPS provides premium protection for servers, network equipment and storage with the flexibility of a stand-alone unit while still allowing you to seamlessly manage your connected equipment, even in virtual environments. The 5P features 1U and 2U rack-mount and tower models, new models with lithium-ion batteries and select models can be wall-mounted.

Eaton 9PX

The Eaton 9PX has a double-conversion topology, providing constant power conditioning and battery packs for extended runtime: the 9PX tower/rack-mount UPS is built for scalable deployment and features a graphical LCD interface.

Eaton BladeUPS

The Eaton BladeUPS is a three-phase, scalable and modular UPS for high density computing environments, including virtualised or machine learning IT applications. The BladeUPS delivers 5, 8 or 12 kW of efficient, reliable power in only 6U of rack space, with the option to expand your capacity by combining 12 kW modules in a scalable, building-block fashion to deliver 60 kW (N+1) from a single rack enclosure.

Helpful hints

Where is the best place for your equipment? rack-mount UPSs slide in alongside your IT equipment off the floor, keeping everything away from water leaks and spills.
Mounting hardware included? It is important to ensure that the proper 2 or 4-post mounting hardware is included with the UPS battery back-up or you will need to purchase it separately.
Where to instal the UPS in the rack? When it comes to installing the UPS, it's almost always the heaviest component in your rack so you'll want to position it at the bottom especially if you have external battery packs.
