Eaton cylindrical supercapacitor cells and packs provide high‑reliability energy storage for backup power, pulse power, and energy harvesting applications. The portfolio spans single cells and integrated packs with operating voltages from 2.5 V cells up to 6.0 V packs, and capacitance ranging from sub‑farad to hundred farads. Ultra‑low ESR supports high peak current and fast charge/discharge, while wide operating temperatures (‑40 °C to +65 °C/+85 °C with derating) enable long service life in industrial, transportation, and automotive environments.

Automotive

Supercapacitors are used in safety systems to ensure systems function during loss of power for e-latches, e-call, video recording functions. They are also used for boardnet stabilization to keep consistent voltage in the power system as high current devices ramp up.

Industrial Equipment and Machinery

Supercapacitors are employed in machinery and equipment to reduce power electronics size and cost as well as reduce peak power from mains. They are also used extensively for controllers in machinery and automation systems for ride through power, memory back and safe shutdown.

Renewable Energy

Back up/ride though power for controllers due to their long life and wide temperature range. Due to their high efficiency, they are used as energy collected from solar panels.
