Questions about the features and benefits of the SmartOnline UPS?

What network card is compatible with the SmartOnline UPS?

The WEBCARDLXE is compatible. It allows remote UPS access and management via SNMP, web, SSH or Telnet, and the use of PowerAlert software

Is the WEBCARDLX compatible with the SmartOnline?

No. The WEBCARDLX has been retired. Only the WEBCARDLXE is compatible. 

Do all SmartOnline models come with a network card?

No. While all models are compatible with a network card through the network card slot on the rear of the unit, only the bundled models listed below come with the network card pre-installed:

Are new SmartOnline UPSs compatible with old versions of the external battery modules (EBMs)?

No. To provide extended runtime to new SmartOnline models, only new EBM models should be used. 

Does the SmartOnline provide pure sine wave power? 

Yes. As a double-conversion UPS, the SmartOnline converts incoming AC power into DC power and then resynthesizes it into AC power with pure sine wave. 

Does the SmartOnline come with a maintenance bypass?

All SmartOnline 5-6 kVA models are compatible with a maintenance bypass (MBP). You can purchase bundled units that include an MBP or purchase an MBP separately. 

What are the differences between the old SmartOnline models and the new models?

There are several differences, including a redesigned front panel and an LCD screen. All the differences can be seen in this short video:
