E57 inductive proximity sensors

Built sensor tough

E57G general purpose sensors – General purpose series sensors are a cost-effective solution that is optimized to include only those functions necessary for basic, reliable sensing without lacking the performance or features you expect in an Eaton product. These sensors include various diameter options designed to fit a variety of applications.

E57P performance sensors – With unmatched high noise immunity and short-circuit protection, the E57P performance inductive proximity sensors deliver top-of-the-line reliability. Manufactured to withstand harsh environmental conditions as well as otherwise damaging mechanical impacts, the E57 is rugged tough.

E57PS performance short-body sensors – The same reliability and durability found in the E57PS performance inductive proximity sensors – just shorter. This product is a great choice for applications where limited space is an issue.

E57 2-wire AC and 2-wire AC/DC sensors – The E57 series provides application flexibility by offering 2-wire inductive proximity sensors with either AC or AC/DC sourcing. This group of sensors is further divided into the Global and Premium + series.

E57 metal face sensors – Unlike standard sensors that have plastic faces, Eaton's metal face inductive proximity sensors feature a tough, stainless steel face. Because of this, the sensors can withstand abrasion, impact of particulate debris, corrosion and chemical attack, providing reliable operation and longer life. In addition, common diameters, voltage styles and wiring connections make it easy to retrofit existing, damaged sensors.

E57 ferrous-only sensors – Eaton's ferrous-only inductive proximity sensors are a standard 18-mm family of sensors that are designed to detect only ferrous.

  • The robust design is ideal for extreme temperatures or environments with high-pressure washdown
  • High noise immunity of >20 V per meter prevents many problems associated with electrical noise
  • 360-degree, dual-color output LED indicator provides easy viewing and simplified machine troubleshooting

E57 metal face

  • Common 12-, 18- and 30-mm housing diameters allow for easy change out of existing, less robust sensors to increase machine uptime
  • The 20-mil stainless steel sensing face is thicker than competing units, providing a higher level of protection in extreme environments
  • These sensors offer wide operating temperature range –13 to 158 °F (–25 to 70 °C)
  • The robust design is ideal for extreme temperature or environments with high-pressure wash down

E57 ferrous only

  • Sensors are epoxy filled for shock and vibration resistance.
  • Sensors are designed for maximum heat tolerance to survive demanding industrial applications
  • Sensors offer a wide operating temperature range of –13 to 158 °F (–25 to 70 °C)
  • Sensors are built with high-quality stainless-steel housings for reliable performance
