Substation power centers

Eaton’s Omaha Power Center produces a range of custom-designed sheltered aisle, outdoor metal-clad medium-voltage switchgear enclosures for utility and substation applications. Products include 5-15 kV, 27 kV, 38 kV, and 5-15 kV arc-resistant construction up to Type 2C, using welded compartment construction for maximum reliability and environmental dependability.

Robust centralized control and protection for power equipment

Custom-engineered switchgear designed to exceed IEEE switchgear design and manufacturing standards to meet the specific needs of your application and environment including:

  • 11-gauge welded cubicle construction ensures the enclosure remains “square” and breakers rack-in correctly over the life of the switchgear
  • Bolted cubicle assembly forms a solid lineup with two 11-gauge steel inserts between each vertical section to prevent propagation faults from one cubicle to the next
  • Doors made with double returns and welded edges to prevent warping and ensure that latches operate appropriately
