Eaton PDI Aggregator Reactor

Reactor Power Panels (RPPs) make maintenance of downstream equipment safer by limiting fault current and reducing the risk of arc flash. The Aggregator Reactor is designed to be used as part of a reserve power source for multiple downstream RPPs with Bypass Cabinets. An Aggregator Reactor, when used as a component of a reserve power source, allows multiple downstream RPPs to be taken offline for maintenance while the Aggregator Reactor temporarily provides the same safety benefits as the offline RPPs.

Key features

The Reactor is a stand-alone unit with no operational controls. Power switching occurs external to the unit. Power flow through the Reactor is not directional, and the unit can be installed on either the left or right side of adjacent switchgear. The unit is cooled by air-natural cooling and has no fans. Left and right front service panels permit infrared scanning of its single-phase reactors and connections from the front of the unit. The Reactor has temperature sensors in each of its three single-phase reactors. Sensor wires connect to a terminal block in the controls compartment, which serves as an interface to customer monitoring systems, which are external to the unit. The Reactor is configured with a that provides cable entry/exit space. The provides greater latitude for aligning the Reactor with already installed conduit, which may not match the unit’s cable entry panels. The is empty except for cable lashing bars
