Eaton recognized as top power protection and management provider for the second straight year at CRN Annual Report Card Awards

September 30, 2021

RALEIGH, NC … Power management company Eaton today announced that, for the second year in a row, it has been recognized for innovation in the information technology (IT) channel and named the winner of the Power Protection and Management category for the CRN Annual Report Card Awards. The awards, voted on by a community of IT solution providers and value-added resellers (VARs), honor best-in-class technology providers committed to driving channel growth through innovation and outstanding channel performance.

Eaton was also recognized as the winner in the Product Innovation and Managed & Cloud Services subcategories of the Power Protection and Management category. The company’s Tripp Lite business, acquired by Eaton in 2021, won the Support and Partnership subcategories.

“The last 18 months have been uniquely challenging for our channel partners as the COVID-19 pandemic has created economic uncertainty amid a changing IT landscape,” said Hervé Tardy, vice president, marketing and strategy, Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure division, Eaton. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our team in helping these partners drive recurring revenue opportunities from power management innovation. Our collective sweep of the Power Protection and Management category together with our Tripp Lite team provides further validation of the value of our combined solutions for our partners.”

IT solution providers continue to navigate the complexities of a dynamic IT environment accelerated by increasing connectivity, advancements in cloud computing, growing reliance on distributed infrastructure, the growth of remote workforces and the constant threats to cybersecurity. New strategies for power management are needed to support these rapid shifts as solution providers seek to support their end customers’ changing requirements for increased resiliency, disaster avoidance and cybersecurity protection.

“We love partnering and working with the Eaton team,” said Osman Aziz, business development manager at Questivity, an Eaton channel partner. “They are easy to work with and always provide the best power management solutions for my customers, along with excellent hands-on support. With Eaton on our side, we have been able to increase our business and be more profitable with their solutions, even in a challenging year like 2020.”

“We have partnered with Tripp Lite for many years, said Diane L. Smith, Director of Marketing for PROVANTAGE LLC. “They are by far one of the easiest companies to work with in this industry. The Tripp Lite team is very engaging and creative. Even through the pandemic, they kept the creative ideas flowing and remained in touch with our sales and marketing teams which helped us continue to grow sales in these challenging times.”

Since its inception, Eaton’s PowerAdvantage Partner Program has enabled channel partners to drive consistent revenue while helping their end customers design power management strategies that meet critical IT challenges, both now and in the future. Additionally, the program helps partners drive revenue from innovative power management technologies such as Eaton’s recently launched 9PX lithium-ion UPS and Intelligent Power Manager 2 disaster avoidance software, part of Eaton’s Brightlayer Data Centers suite.

"We are thrilled to recognize these vendors who continue to go above and beyond to develop and nurture successful vendor-channel partner relationships by delivering best-in-class product and service offerings,” said Blaine Raddon, CEO, The Channel Company. “CRN’s Annual Report Card Awards go further than just highlighting our winners. They also offer deep insights into channel opinions and provide vendors with actionable feedback to implement into their channel strategies going forward. Congratulations to all our award winners. We look forward to honoring them at this year’s XChange+ 2021 conference in August.”
